Willie does sound a bit like he’s gone off the deep end.  Fr. O’Flaherty (named for Gregory Peck’s character in The Scarlet And The Black…a true story about an Irish monsignor’s  resistance to the Nazis in WWII Rome), certainly believes in demons and the Devil, but he is not about to participate in what seems for all the world like a delusion.

How do you interpret Willie’s attitude? Fr. O’Flaherty’s?
