Have you ever had some terrible situation you were so desperate to fix that you’d willingly transfer it to someone else if you could (even though you know that would be wrong, and you’d be responsible for inflicting that pain)?  This concept (and this whole story) was somewhat inspired by the movie, Thinner.  It’s not a cinematic masterpiece, but it’s definitely a good flick for a rainy day or a night in.
