Hello, Enjoying this story Anthony. Nothing I like better than a good heist. Good use of the fan, doubling as playing cards. Brilliant idea. I may have to nick the idea for some of my stories! Good use of cotton wool balls as steam. Sometimes use of non-Lego items can work with great effect.
I also had a good look at your non-literary cast page. I hadn’t realised there were so many different groups of Leprechauns appearing in your stories. And is The Quiet Man a favourite film of yours?
Many years ago, I wrote a series of short stories (“The Adventures of Finbar Greenjacket; or, Ten-Thousand Years in the Life of a Leprechaun”). I developed a system pattered after the five human kingdoms + high king for the Leprechauns to use. You got to meet them all (briefly) in the Brendan-Behan-focused Ballinabricky story “The Táin.” I’m working my way through a couple story ideas that might allow me to make more use of them, but it won’t be the next one.
The Quiet Man is definitely one of my favorites. There are much better made movies out there, but there’s something about that one that is just too adorable not to be a classic.
Coincidentally, the current story has ties to a classic movie, too…

Looking forward to the rest of this tale.
Adrian.
I’m so glad you’re enjoying it!
